We believe travel can change the world.
Travel has the power to create good jobs, lifting families out of poverty and empowering women. Travel also has the power to protect culture and environment. Travel can make a powerful difference around the world – and this is especially true in the developing world!
The travel industry represents 10% of the global economy and sustains 200 million jobs. Tourists spend nearly $400 billion a year in developing countries, yet only $5 out of every $100 spent remains in the countries visited.
We believe there is a better way.
Our business model connects families across the globe. We create opportunities for local families to get paid to share their favorite places. This supports local businesses, from artisan markets to farm-to-table restaurants. We also enable local communities to educate travelers about social and environmental responsibility. This unique approach to travel planning empowers families to make a positive impact in the places they visit.
“Before I launched Penguino Travel, I had the opportunity to travel to more than thirty countries. These experiences inspire and challenge me to do business in a purposeful way. At Penguino Travel, we are committed to social and environmental responsibility and to giving back.”
Sara Brinton, Founder and CEO of Penguino Travel
